Executive profiles

As senior vice president and general manager of Adobe's Creative Solutions Business Unit, John Loiacono leads the development of Adobe’s creative and rich media solutions which empower creative professionals, enterprises and consumers to continually innovate and advance how the world engages with ideas and information – in business and in everyday life. He oversees Adobe flagship brands such as Adobe® Creative Suite®, Adobe Photoshop®, Photoshop.com®, Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe InDesign®, Adobe Premiere Pro®, Adobe Flash®, Adobe Dreamweaver® and Scene 7.

Prior to joining Adobe, Loiacono served as executive vice president of software at Sun Microsystems with responsibility for software technologies including the Solaris operating system, Java, Java Enterprise System suites, Java developer tools and Star Office. During his 19 years at Sun, he also served as general manager of Sun's operating platform group, chief marketing officer, and held positions in both sales and marketing.

Loiacono holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Fresno State University. He serves on the boards of the Adobe Foundation, a global philanthropic organization focused on driving positive social change and community improvement; and Design Ignites Change, a program promoting and encouraging talented high school and college students in the U.S. to use design thinking and innovation in creating messages for and solutions to complex social problems.
