Adobe and Pinnacle Systems Team Up to Offer Broadcast Quality, Real Time Editing To Video Professionals
Affordable Digital Video Editing Solution Available On the Desktop

NAB, Las Vegas (April 10, 2000) (Nasdaq: ADBE)--Continuing its leadership in creating and delivering world-class dynamic media content, Adobe Systems Incorporated is partnering with Pinnacle Systems (Nasdaq:PCLE) to provide video and broadcast professionals with a real time digital video editing system for the desktop.

Pinnacle Systems’ new TARGA 3000™ video board is being bundled with Adobe® Premiere® 5.1, Adobe’s award-winning digital video editing software, allowing professionals to create broadcast-quality video on their desktop. The solution offers simultaneous support for digital video editing in every video format from uncompressed HDTV to compressed streaming video for the Web.

Infinite Video Editing Performance
Pinnacle Systems TARGA 3000’s powerful desktop editing, compositing and finishing solution supports true uncompressed video, MPEG-2 and DV, as well as a complete range of analog and digital input and output capabilities. With Adobe Premiere and the TARGA 3000, video professionals will now be able to utilize three streams of uncompressed video in a timeline, apply special effects and up to eight layers of graphics and video, and play back the video in real-time without rendering.

Adobe Premiere 5.1 software for Windows® 98 and WindowsNT® 4.0 bundled with Pinnacle Systems’ TARGA 3000 will be available in the third quarter of 2000 at an estimated street price below US $6000 in the U.S. and Canada.
