Award-winning Web Animation Tool Earns Critical Acclaim From Creative Professionals Worldwide
San Jose, Calif., (June 5, 2000) (Nasdaq: ADBE)--Adobe Systems Incorporated, the leader in digital publishing for Web, print and dynamic media, today announced that Adobe® LiveMotion software is receiving rave reviews from customers around the globe. Creative professionals from top design firms are reporting impressive results with Adobes latest Web solution for creating interactive Web graphics and animation.
This positive momentum follows a series of recent product milestones including Adobes initial shipment of LiveMotion 1.0 earlier this month; a successful public beta program (more than 360,000 copies of LiveMotion downloaded); and receiving the Best of Show Award for Web Design Software at Spring Internet World 2000.
Creative professionals are praising the products ease of use, tight integration with Adobes family of professional Web design tools, creative capabilities, and flexibility in outputting to a wide variety of file formats, including the popular Flash (SWF) format.
"This innovative tool enables us to create excellent motion graphics, a high image quality, and saves us hours of work," said Zach Foley, vice-president of digital art for Stan Lee Media, an Internet based, multimedia production, marketing and licensing company based in Southern California. "LiveMotion also lets us use the same image in a number of projects. It has become a valuable tool in advancing our uniquely successful style of storytelling and character creation and in continuing to attract young generations of fans to the superhero genre."
"Adobe LiveMotion enables designers to work in an environment that we are already comfortable with. I think people who like other Adobe tools are going to have a blast doing animation for the Web using LiveMotion," said Matthew Richmond, principal and designer for The Chopping Block, Inc., a New York based Web design firm, who went on to call LiveMotion "a supreme tool that gives designers everything we need to make cool animations for the Web."
"The coolest stuff on the Web todayand where boundaries are being pushedis definitely based on motion graphics," explains Melvin Rivera of Mostasa New Media Design located in Los Angeles. "LiveMotion is a great animation tool that is very efficient and modular. And, because it is tightly integrated with other Adobe design tools and allows us to reuse elements and attributes, its a big timesaver."
"With LiveMotion, we can speed up the animation process, meeting deadlines more easily while delivering fun, creative work," says David Lai, CEO of Hello Design, LLC, a Web design firm located in Southern California. "With the LiveMotion Styles feature, I can create something and apply it to other objects, saving time on redundant tasks. It frees up my time and allows me to concentrate on the design, not the mechanics."
"With LiveMotion, our design process is a lot faster and more fluid," explains Dave Steele of Barking Dog Studios, a progressive new media design firm in Ontario. "We can work with easy-to-manipulate vector-based images at all times, reuse elements, create and instantly preview animationsall within the same software program. All of these factors mean we save time and have a smoother design process with fewer creative interruptions."
