San Jose,
Calif., (October 31, 2000)(Nasdaq: ADBE)--In support of its Network Publishing announcement, Adobe Systems Incorporated announced today alliances with Art Technology Group, Inc. (ATG) (Nasdaq:ARTG), developer of the ATG Dynamo® e-Business Platform for online customer management, and Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq:IWOV), the leading provider of enterprise-class content management solutions. The three companies plan to integrate their respective Web development, enterprise-class content management and e-business platform products to provide Web professionals complete workflow solutions for content creation, management and multi-channel content delivery.
"In the early days of the Web, there was a separation between companies that understood content and design, and those that understood the backend of technology and infrastructure," said Bruce Chizen, president of Adobe. "Through our alliances with ATG and Interwoven, we're really seeing the next wave of publishing. Because of the open architecture and the integration of our respective product suites, we are enabling a full set of solutions that can be deployed anywhere in any business. The opportunity for us, our partners, and our customers, is virtually unlimited."
"Businesses have gone far beyond building simple Web sites their goals now include implementing Internet business strategies and managing customer relationships," said Paul Shorthose, president and COO of ATG. "ATG is excited to be a part of the future of Network Publishing. This integrated approach combines both the creative and business processes so content can be seamlessly created, managed, and deployed enabling businesses to build successful online relationships with their customers."
"Today's business demands that companies effectively develop and deploy mission critical assets at net speed to support their eBusiness initiatives," said John Van Siclen, senior vice president of Corporate Development, Interwoven. "The combined strengths of Adobe, Interwoven and ATG will significantly increase end to end productivity, thus decrease time-to-Web."
As part of these alliances, the companies will work together to integrate their product offerings. By integrating Adobe® GoLive® 5.0 and Interwoven® TeamSite® software, content contributors will be able to easily author and manage large volumes of content while working directly within GoLive. Likewise, Adobe and ATG will integrate GoLive with the ATG Dynamo e-Business Platform enabling page designers to use GoLive to visually create highly personalized Dynamo pages. The combination of Adobe, Interwoven, and ATG products provides Web professionals with an end-to-end customer and e-commerce solution that builds customer loyalty, enables faster time-to-Web, and increases return on investment.
