SAN JOSE, Calif. — June 15, 2006 — Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced that Stephen Elop, president, worldwide field operations, will leave the company at the end of the fiscal year. Elop, former CEO of Macromedia, is responsible for the company's global sales organization including field marketing, customer care and professional services.
In announcing the decision, Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen said, "Stephen has been a tireless advocate committed to the successful integration of Macromedia and Adobe. However, looking beyond a successful integration, the responsibilities of leading Adobe's worldwide field operations are not aligned with his longer-term career goals. We'll miss his leadership and we wish him well."
The company said Elop is committed to staying on through December 5, 2006.
