Most controls in the Administrator interface are fully operable using a keyboard alone with some exceptions including:

Many controls in the Server Manager cannot be accessed with the keyboard including the application menus and tabs in dialog boxes.

Some controls in the Server and Multiserver monitors are not keyboard accessible, including items in the Tree menu and in data grids, which can be focused but not activated with the keyboard.

ColdFusion 9 allows authors to generate keyboard executable html/xhtml code.

Most complex ColdFusion controls are fully operable using a keyboard alone with some exceptions, for example:

It is not possible to access cfgrid header controls with the keyboard alone.

Controls generated by the cftextarea tag (using the rich text attribute) are not keyboard accessible.

(b) Applications shall not disrupt or disable activated features of other products that are identified as accessibility features, where those features are developed and documented according to industry standards. Applications also shall not disrupt or disable activated features of any operating system that are identified as accessibility features where the application programming interface for those accessibility features has been documented by the manufacturer of the operating system and is available to the product developer.

There is a visual indication of focus for most controls in the Administrator interface but the indication is dependent on the user’s web browser and is faint in some cases, such as links on the toolbar.

The indication of focus is clearer in the Server Manager and Server and Multiserver Monitors with some exceptions, such as the Tree Tabs in the Statistics and Alerts views.

The focus indicator in the Server Manager may not provide sufficient contrast for some users.

Current focus is programmatically exposed with the exception of some controls in the Server Manager and the Server and Multiserver Monitors.

There is a clear indication of focus for most ColdFusion 9 focusable elements. However, in some cases focus events are not programmatically exposed such as in the tables created by cfgrid.

Authors can add CSS styles to provide additional, visual indications of focus.

(d) Sufficient information about a user interface element including the identity, operation, and state of the element shall be available to Assistive Technology. When an image represents a program element, the information conveyed by the image must also be available in text.
