On 19th of June 2006 Adobe launched a software licensing compliance program which will allow customers in Australia and New Zealand to perform an online self-assessment of their installation of Adobe Products. The online assessment will provide customers with their Adobe licensing information to match their license records. The program focuses on awareness, compliance, and education by issuing certificates of software licensing compliance to our customers.
Adobe intends to issue certificates to organisations that are appropriately licensed based on a certified on line submission to be returned by a responsible officer of your organisation directly to our program co coordinator, SSAMM Management Consulting (SSAMM).
Adobe has engaged SSAMM to run this national program in accordance with the “Compliance with Licenses” & “Audit Clause” terms detailed within your Software License Agreement, from 19th June 2006 – 10th September 2006. Ulysses Chioatto of SSAMM will lead the program. SSAMM are recognised specialists in IT, legal and software asset management issues as they relate to a broad range of organisations.
Adobe reserves the right to take any further follow up action as may be required due to a lack of response, through the various appropriate agencies.
Selected Adobe customers were notified in July 2006 to participate in on site reviews. The reviews focus on verifying that customers are appropriately licensed and providing recommendation in better practice software asset management.
