Manly Ferry past the Sydney Opera House
Manly Ferry past the Sydney Opera House, Oct 1998

Taken late on a Sunday afternoon from the bow of a Manly ferry as it enters Sydney Cove, prior to docking at Circular Quay.

This is another shot which is part of the nemeng VRSYD project. A deceptively difficult scene to capture. The ferry was rocking and moving forward at 10 knots, so each shot in the VR sequence had to be carefully (but rapidly!) timed so that it more or less lined up with the previous. Then the sequence had to be shot such that the Opera House was in the preferred position on the starboard, with the Sydney Harbour bridge also in place on the opposite side. Then came the fun of seamlessly stitching and aligning all the images in Adobe Photoshop. Yikes!
