Cleopatra: Halbert did this illustration as part of a Southwestern Bell TV commercial promoting three-way calling. He photographed a friend in belly-dancer attire for a reference photo, scanned the image at 600 ppi, added a new face, eyes, and jewelry in Photoshop, and finally converted the grayscale image to a mezzotint to match the other two images. In the TV spot, the eyes, mouths, and arms of the character moves in sync with the voiceover. |
