Apple: After scanning a scratchboard rendering, Halbert applies color - in this case a dissolve transfer - and shaves pixels from lines to preserve the definition at small sizes. This apple was done for a jelly label where it would be printed 3 inches tall. According to Halbert, it will print clearly at sizes ranging from one-half inch up to 12 inches. |
