Jerry Monti is the Technology Education Architect at the USC Annenberg School of Communications and Journalism’s Knight Digital Media Center. He is an award-winning media producer, instructional designer, and trainer with more than 25 years of professional digital experience. Monti has developed curricula for degree programs, a master’s certificate program in digital content, corporate digital transformation engagements for national news media, intensive accelerated digital training workshops for communication professionals, and graduate level courses for the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. He has delivered seminars covering leading-edge Internet and social media concepts as well as hand-ons digital content production training.
Monti’s experience and expertise enable him to develop and deliver highly successful train-the-trainer programs. He has written Marketing Research Documents and Product Specification Documents; produced project plans, schedules, and budgets; managed teams that span distance and disciplines; and delivered products that exceed expectations and win awards.
Monti holds an M.Ed. from the University of the Philippines and a B.A. in Journalism from California State University. He is a former Peace Corps volunteer and was an Apple Certified Consultant with Server Certification. He lives at the beach in Pacifica and enjoys trail hikes in the fog, watching storms, and listening to Miles Davis.
