Linda Dickeson, the distance learning manager for Lincoln Public Schools, has been a technology training specialist helping educators and students develop skills in digital photo editing, desktop publishing, multimedia, web development, word processing, databases and spreadsheets, and Internet applications since 1987. She has provided all levels of training in support of teacher productivity and curriculum integration. As an author, educator, and trainer, Dickeson believes in more than just skill building — she emphasizes learning to use technology tools effectively in the classroom with training relevant to educators.
Dickeson specializes in teaching educators and students to use Adobe® InDesign®, Acrobat® Pro, Photoshop®, Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere® Elements software. Her publications include the CLICKstep Teacher Training Series (FTC Publishing), with titles on InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere Elements.
As a workshop leader and speaker, Dickeson presents at numerous state, regional, and national conferences, including ISTE TCEA, FETC, TIES, ITEC, METC, and ILC. She is a past president of the Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA), served as the NETA executive director for many years, and was on the group's Board of Directors for 18 years. Dickeson is now on the board of Directors for the Nebraska Distance Learning Association. She holds a master's degree in instructional technology and has been an Adobe Education Leader since early 2004.
