Nicholas Visic is a senior project officer for the Western Australia Department of Education. He writes, develops, and publishes educational resources for online use by Western Australia public teachers, and assists in developing online professional learning courses.
Visic originally earned a bachelor’s degree in tourism at Murdoch University. He worked in the IT industry for three years before returning to school to complete a post-graduate degree in primary education. Over the course of two years, he taught at every primary year level, and as a specialist in many fields.
For the last several years, Visic has worked in E-Schooling in the central office of the Western Australia Department of Education. He has been involved in developing hundreds of online resources, in particular aligning the Australian Curriculum to new and existing resources. As part of this adaption he has also written numerous lesson plans and frameworks, including English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) adapted lessons.
He dedicates his spare time to his wife, pets, music (bass guitar), and fitness.
