Overview
The Premier EVLP is a program of discounts for high-volume purchasing of Macromedia software, upgrades, subscriptions, technical support, and training sold to colleges, universities, and K-12 school districts. This program is currently available in the U.S. and Canada only.
Qualified higher education institutions, or qualified on-campus software resellers can also take advantage of the new Student Licensing Option to offer their students a significant discount on Macromedia Studio MX 2004 software.
Volume Licensing
Macromedia, Inc., has been acquired by Adobe Systems Incorporated. The combination of Adobe and Macromedia provides customers with a powerful set of solutions for creating, managing, and delivering compelling content and experiences across multiple operating systems, devices, and media. As a benefit, Macromedia Volume License Program (MVLP) customers can now purchase through the Adobe Open Options (AOO) program. Adobe plans to end of life the MVLP program, as a part of the consolidation of programs and services. Until this time, the MVLP program will continue to be available on a transactional basis only.

Does the Premier EVLP Meet Your Needs?
If the following key elements apply to your institution, the Premier EVLP could be a good fit for your software needs:
- You plan to use Macromedia products for instructional use

Product Point Assignments
The Premier EVLP is a points-based program. Each Macromedia product is given a point value. The discount level is calculated by adding the total number of points of your initial order.
Program Levels
The Premier EVLP has four point-based program levels. The amount of discount increases with each program level. For example, Level H offers greater discounts than Level G. Level G offers greater discounts than Level F. The following point ranges have been established for each program level:

Minimum Requirements
Educational institutions wishing to participate in the Premier EVLP must place an initial order for a minimum of 3,000 points. The minimum number of points for reorders is 150 points.
Software
All Macromedia software products for which an education edition is currently available - as well as upgrades, subscriptions, technical support, and training—are available through the Premier EVLP.
Subscriptions
A Macromedia Software Subscription entitles the school district to receive new product releases (upgrades) and updates during a specified time period:
- Subscription coverage lasts for two years. The two-year period begins with the initial product-purchase date, and expires on the last day of the month after the two-year anniversary of that date.
- You must purchase Software Subscriptions at the same time as your software through the Premier EVLP.
- Coterminous subscription with semi-annual prorating (subscriptions all come up for renewal at the same time) is available for all software reorders for two years following the initial Premier EVLP purchase.
Technical Support
We’re committed to providing the highest-quality technical support. Support plans are available for all types of users, from novice to advanced. Both free and fee-based support options are available. Bronze, Silver, and Gold level Support Programs are available for purchase through the Premier EVLP.
Deliverables
One of the primary benefits of licensing is that customers receive the right mix of media. For example: a customer initially ordering 100 licenses of Dreamweaver will automatically receive:

- A unique program membership number
- “Right to copy” licenses in accordance with the license purchase
- One multi-user serial number per product family also in accordance with the license purchase

- Software (one CD at no charge)
Note: One software CD per product is provided at no charge, customers may still be charged the appropriate freight fee.
Customers may purchase documentation or additional CDs for a nominal fee at quantities not to exceed the number of licenses purchased.
Documentation will not be shipped unless specifically ordered since all documents are available on the software CD.
Professional Development
A variety of professional development courses are available for purchase from the Macromedia University. Online courses for professional development purchased from the eLearning Center or Macromedia University also earn points and contribute toward your Premier EVLP purchase level.

Shipping Methods
All Premier EVLP orders are shipped from our warehouses, using a two-day service (such as Federal Express second-day service) or an international equivalent. Shipping charges are automatically added to your invoice.
Returns
For the purposes of the MVLP, Macromedia will honor the warranty of the End-User License Agreement. Otherwise, Macromedia will not accept returns for MVLP orders. The only exception to this no-return policy will be for product exchanges on order entry errors corrected within 30 days of receipt of incorrect product.
Eligibility
The Premier EVLP is available only to qualified U.S. educational institutions. These include:
- Accredited public or private universities, colleges, community colleges, and junior colleges that grant degrees for computer software-related courses, and require at least two years of full-time matriculation
- Accredited public or private universities, colleges, community colleges, and junior colleges that grant degrees, and require at least two years of full-time matriculation
- Accredited public and private K-12 schools, such as preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, grammar schools, middle schools, and high schools
- School districts, administrative offices, and boards of education that purchase for the preceding schools
