Base EVLP
A specific option within the Macromedia Education Volume License Program (EVLP), a program of discounts for volume purchasing of Macromedia software, upgrades, subscriptions, technical support, and training sold to K-12 schools, districts, colleges, and universities in the United States and Canada. Each Macromedia product is assigned a point value. Within Base EVLP, the total number of points of each individual order determines the discount you receive on that particular order: the greater the size of the order, the greater the discount level.

C

A volume-licensing program that requires the customer to sign a contract before software can be acquired and used.
coterminous subscriptions
Macromedia Software Subscriptions purchased by education customers are active for two years. Additional licenses ordered under Premier EVLP (called "reorders") are accompanied by coterminous subscriptions. This means that the reordered subscriptions will expire on the same date as the subscriptions that were ordered as part of the initial Premier EVLP order. Since these coterminous subscriptions have a term of less than two years, the prices of these subscriptions are prorated on a semiannual basis. The benefit is that Premier EVLP customers renew all subscriptions at the same time.
cross-platform
A software product that works on more than one operating system, such as a product that works on both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh computers. Nearly all Macromedia software products work on both Windows and Macintosh computers.

E

eligible educational institution
Qualifying K-12 and higher education institutions that meet Macromedia requirements for education-customer status. Education versions of Macromedia products may be used for instructional and administrative purposes by students, teachers, and faculty, but cannot be used for any commercial or revenue-generating activities. Software may be installed on school-owned computers only.
Education Volume License Program

G

Government Transactional License Option (GTLO)
A program of discounts for volume purchasing of Macromedia software, upgrades, subscriptions, technical support, and training sold to local and Federal Government in the United States and Canada. Each Macromedia product is assigned a point value. The total number of points of each individual order, or transaction, determines the discount you receive: the greater the size of the order, the greater the discount level.

The discount level established by your initial order is available institution-wide.

K

K-12 Site License
