Overview
Chances are, multiple people or teams within your agency are already using Macromedia products. By consolidating your purchases, your agency or department can save 25% or more on your total Macromedia purchase. The Government Transactional License Option (GTLO) is available to US and Canada Government customers only. It provides customers with a transactional licensing option with no contract required. Purchase levels are calculated per order.
Product Point Assignments
The GTLO is a points based system. Our award-winning products and Technical Support offerings have been assigned points. Discount levels are calculated simply by adding the total points on the order. What follows is a short list of products and their point values for your reference.

Software
All Macromedia software products-as well as upgrades, subscriptions, technical support, and training-are available through the GTLO. Contact your authorized Macromedida reseller for a complete list of products and prices, or to obtain a price quote.
Subscriptions
A Macromedia Software Subscription entitles government customers to version upgrades (for example, from version 4.0 to 5.0), updates (for example, from version 5.1 to 5.3), and bug fixes during the active subscription period. The Subscription coverage period for government customers is one year.
- Subscription coverage begins with the product-purchase date and expires on the last day of the month after the one-year anniversary date.
- Though the purchase of a Subscription is optional, if you do purchase a Subscription, you must purchase it with the license at the time of sale.
- Subscription renewals can be purchased up to 90 days prior to the subscription expiration date. Customers will be advised of their renewal opportunities well in advance of the subscription expiration. To learn more about renewing your MVLP subscription plan contact Macromedia or your reseller.
Technical Support
We're committed to providing the highest-quality technical support. Support plans are available for all types of users, from novice to advanced. Both free and fee-based support options are available. Bronze and Gold level Support Programs are available for purchase through the GTLO.
Deliverables
One of the primary benefits of licensing is that customers receive the right mix of media. For example: a customer initially ordering 100 licenses of Dreamweaver will automatically receive:
-
The MVLP License Certificate to include:
- A unique program membership number
- “Right to copy” licenses in accordance with the license purchase
- One multi-user serial number per product family also in accordance with the license purchase
- Customers will be given a separate serial number for every unit purchased in the Entry Level
- Terms and Conditions
- Software (one CD at no charge)
Note: One software CD per product is provided at no charge, customers may still be charged the appropriate freight fee.
Customers may purchase documentation or additional CDs for a nominal fee at quantities not to exceed the number of licenses purchased. Documentation will not be shipped unless specifically ordered since all documents are available on the software CD.
Because the GTLO is, by definition, a transactional licensing program, GTLO customers will receive a new program membership number each and every time they order.
Procurements
End users may purchase software via the MVLP directly from Macromedia or from an authorized Macromedia reseller. All end user information must be included on the purchase order submitted to Macromedia. Macromedia will ship MVLP orders directly to end users and send shipping details to the distributor.
Shipping Method
All MVLP orders are shipped from our warehouses using a 2-day service such as Federal Express 2nd day service or an international equivalent. Distributors are responsible for adding freight charges to their purchase orders.
Returns
For the purposes of the MVLP, Macromedia will honor the warranty of the End-User License Agreement. Otherwise, Macromedia will not accept returns for MVLP orders. The only exception to this no-return policy will be for product exchanges on order entry errors corrected within 30 days of receipt of incorrect product.
