Problem

My pages are displayed correctly in Dreamweaver, but when I preview in browsers (either IE or Firefox), most styles are being ignored.

Solution

Does anyone have an idea what could be happening?

Detailed description

I created my site a few years ago and recently updated it using Dreamweaver in CS4. Pages are displayed correctly in Dreamweaver, but when I preview in browsers (either IE or Firefox), most styles are being ignored. The only style which is being picked up by the browsers is "html, body".You can see my site at www.visionspring.com, and the styles are here: http://www.visionspring.com/Styles/001.css

A solution

Put a  brace } to close your html,body block copy or save the new 001.css to your css directory on your hosting server and have this problem solve!

file

do you download your css file to?

Solution to your problem

Have downloaded your CSS file and about.htm. First thing I noticed in your CSS file was a missing }.

Your CSS file looks like this:

text-align: center;
line-height: 130%; br>p {

while it should be:

text-align: center;
line-height: 130%; br>}

p {

Then your problem is solved.

Kind regards,

Bart
