Photoshop has no tool for golden ratio composition cropping. There is no easy workaround, as you can not set up grid for this kind of measure. Guides are no solution too (you can not move it together and can not scale). <br /> You can try PS grid solution. In Photoshop preferences - Guides, grid & slices - change 'Gridline every' to 33, units to 'Percent' and you will have rule of thirds grid ready (just type Ctrl+' in document). But his grid is not scaleable, and you can not set up golden ratio grid this way. So I have decided to fix this problem by script. My first Photoshop script ever! Golden Ratio script adds a layer (or two layers) to any Photoshop document. New layer consists of grid (golden ratio or rule of thirds) and frame. After creating grid, you can move, rotate and scale it, in search of best composition.

Wonderful! Just what I was looking for. I thought I had cropped my photo to these proportions and this proved it for me. Thank you.
