Calendar Wizard

** Note ** The Adobe Exchange has been very slow to allow me to publish updates to the zip file. I've been waiting on the "administrator's review" for weeks. I've therefore also hosted the code at "". InDesign Magazine's December 2007 issue has an article on making calendars. It's a very good article (and magazine) and worth looking into! I also want to extend a special thanks to the author, David Blatner, who gave me the ideas for and funded the CS3 enhancements included in version 2. Version 2 of the script contains some bug fixes, plus several enhancements including the use of table and cell styles. This is a javascript routine to generate a calendar on the fly. It is very similiar to Stephen Nicols's Calendar_Wizard with several added features. Features: 1. Create a range of calendars between two years ago, till ten years from now. 2. create the calenders on new pages, or an existing text frame 3. 1 - 12 calendars per page 4. Text in English, German, French, or Spanish 5. Start on Sunday or Monday 6. auto, 5, or 6 rows 7. mini-calendars 8. multi layers to manage text 9. use of styles and swatches 10. new page is portrait or landscape. 11. Fill cells with holidays Special thanks to Gary Spedding, my first user who helped me test and debug the initial script.

The file is zipped to avoid any virus scanner which may block javascript files. 1. Unzip 2. Copy the files, calendarWizard.0.9.js and realignCalendarTables.0.9.js, to InDesign's scripts folder: C:\Program Files\Adobe Creative Suite 2\Adove Indesign CS2\Presets\Scripts To use the script, open up the scripts palette (Window -> Automation -> Scripts), and double click the item, calendarWizard.0.9.js To realign the text and holidays layers, use the realignCalendarTables.js script. Fixed the bug with the date in split cells not being correct.

This is a brilliant product, a bit daunting to use at first with the interface but there is a clear walkthrough on his website that allows you to learn the functions quickly and efficiently! i wish i had this script months ago well done.

I'm having problems with the size of the calendar wizard, I've tried several screen resolutions so the whole wizard fits on my laptop screen, but nothing has worked I can see from the top all the way to where it says bleed, anything underneath it I cannot see it. Does anyone know a solution to this? Thank you!
