In order to streamline the workflow beetween designers and developers I developed a handy extension called LazyBoy. It generates actionscript 3.0 code based on symbol assets in your current FLA Document. Imagine this scenario: the designer provides you with properly named assets in either PSD, AI or FLA formats, you press a button and you get code to get you started. You don’t need to declare private variables and initialize them, that’s why this extension is for. All you need to do is concentrate on using the assets directly, instead of wasting time writing boring code each time you start a project. The LazyBoy settings allow you to easily create a namig convention scheme if you’re not happy with ours. Once you’ve got the right settings, all you need to use is the Generate button and the code is in your Clipboard and Output Penel.. LazyBoy is useful for tight design-developer workflows, for custom designs manipulated by actionscript classes.
