You must have Application Management turned on in order for this tag to work (in application.cfm, just put <CFAPPLICATION NAME="AppName"> and you should be all set... if you don't know what application.cfm is, read The first version of CF_Weather went to the Weather Channel website each time it was called to get the latest weather data. This has a terrible effect on performance, so this version of CF_Weather "caches" the data in an Application-scope variable. In other words, the first time CF_Weather is called to get the weather data for a certain area code, it goes to the Weather Channel website to get the data. For each call thereafter, it simply re-uses the results it got before, until 30 min. have passed; at that point it goes out and fetches new data again. This custom tag builds upon both of those tags, but uses accuweather's website to pull the information, and to know which image to use to save on download time for your page, rather than pulling in the image from accuweather's server.
