A shopping cart solution made to help those without a money tree to get into the e-commerce market. $149 gets you the complete open source code to use as many times on 1 server as you like. If you are looking for an E-commerce solution this is a great way to go. Works great just as is but is also a great starting block for those of you looking to customize and build on to it for your own needs. Changes in AHP 5.0 Shopping Cart System 1) Ability to give free shipping on individual items. 2) Ability to put items in up to 3 Category/Subcategory combos. 3) Ability to make items clearance items so they become inactive after a set number have been sold. Perfect for those items you only have 5 or so of left and you do not plan to reorder. 4) Sales system has been changed. You can now specify a start and end date for sale items. They will automatically go on sale and off sale on the dates you specify. Just set the sales and the system does the rest. 5) The ability to have up to 10 price/option combinations for an item. For example 1 item can have 10 different options and prices for ordering instead of having to put the item in 10 times. 6) The ability to copy any item as a new item. Great for those items where only 1 little thing is different like the item number so you don’t have to retype everything in. 7) Product Suggestions. The ability to suggest other items to people when they are looking at the detailed item information for any item. You may have seen this feature on site where it says something like “People who bought this item also bought these”. 8) Ability to have multiple thumbnails and multiple large images for each item. Great for those items that have a front and back. 9) Changed the search interface in the admin area so you can now search any field in the database and sort the results by any field in the database (instead of just the keywords field). You can also display thumbnails with your results. It makes finding items much easier. 10) Changed the Category and Subcategory system so they area easier to edit. You also now have the ability to include text at the top of any category or subcategory page, this includes html code. 11) The ability to add your own states and or provinces was added. 12) The ability to accept PayPal as a form of payment is now available. 13) The shipping system was completely revamped. You still have the ranged value system but it is much more extensive. You now have the ability to have as many shipping types as you wish while at the same time having as many cost levels under each shipping type that you want. This allows you to assign each country to a different cost level per shipping type ultimately allowing you to get your shipping charges much more accurate. Also now available is the USPS for a shipping type along side the UPS type that was already there. You can also run all 3 systems together at the same time. Your ranged value system UPS, and USPS can all run at the same time. 14) A new password management system allows you to setup multiple accounts to access your admin area and assign each account different access. So for example if you wanted somebody in your company to be in charge of adding new items but not checking orders you could setup and account to do just that. 15) The Customer Accounts section has been changed to now track and store each purchase the customers that have registered for an account make. This makes it easy to see the ordering history of your returning customers. 16) A new reports system has been added that allows you to see what your top selling items are, top selling categories are, top selling subcategories are, and your top purchasing customers. The numbers reflect the stored orders. 17) A new coupon code and promotional system has been added. This allows you to give away promotional items with certain amounts of purchase as well as give out coupon codes to customers that can entitle them to free shipping and/or either a % amount off on their purchase or a $ amount off on their purchase. The coupons can be set to be one time use only or multiple use coupons. 18) A wish list system has been added. This allows customers who have an account with your site to login and add items to a wish list. This will store the items for them for future visits. So say they surf on their lunch break they can add things to a list and pick back up where they left on the next day or even the next month (amount of time set by you). It also allows them to add their wish list to their cart and checkout. 19) The order checking area has changed some. We have made it easier to read credit card numbers by breaking them up into number sets of 4 like so xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx. We have added the security code that appears on the back of credit cards to the check out process. This will help prevent fraud on orders. 20) Added a search feature to the orders area so you can easily search for any order via the persons first or last name, email, or order number. 21) Order numbers have been changed to be much more readable. 22) You can also now click on any item from on invoice to see that item in the database. Great for those times when you can’t remember what a particular item is just from looking at the invoice. 23) More customizability has been added. You can now change most of the colors of the shopping cart system. You can also change the number of columns you want categories and subcategories displayed in as well as change the number of records you want to be displayed on a page. No more run-on pages. 24) Search engine page creation system. Now you can have your system create a static html page (easily indexed by search engines) for each item in your database. All the pages are managed automatically for you. So instead of having your normal 2 – 5 webpages on your site a search engine can index you will now have as many pages as you have items. So for example if you have 1500 items in your database you would have 1500+ pages for a search engine to index. That is a lot more chances for traffic to your web site. You can be up and running with an online catalog in no time!
