This set duplicates some of the existing behavior functionality but through completely new behaviors. RealMedia_Behaviors.cst (~248Kb) RealMedia_Behaviors.zip (~41Kb) RealMedia_Behaviors_Demo.zip (includes RealMedia_Behaviors.cst and a demo movie file, ~97Kb) Created by: Kraig Mentor Last updated: Sept. 30, 2001 Camera Arcball Behavior version 8.5 This behavior uses quaternions in order to rotate the camera in a path independant manner (click with your mouse, move the mouse all you want, move mouse back to original position and release - the model will be at the same orientation as when you started). NOTE: after importing or inserting this *.ls file into Director you must manually change the script cast member's type to a behavior (use the Property Inspector) before it can be used. arcball.ls (~6Kb) arcball.zip (an arcball.cst and a demo file, ~21Kb) Created by: Jerry Charumilind Last updated: Oct. 03, 2001 Camera Trackball Behavior version 8.5 This behavior provides camera control akin to using a trackball. Keyboard modifier keys are used to provide pan and zoom functionality. NOTE: after importing or inserting this *.ls file into Director you must manually change the script cast member's type to a behavior (use the Property Inspector) before it can be used. trackball.ls (~4Kb) Created by: Jerry Charumilind Last updated: Oct. 03, 2001 Color Picker Behavior version 8.0 and up This behavior uses imaging Lingo to detect the RGB color value underneath the mouse while it is being pressed over a sprite using this behavior. That value can be used to set the value of any RGB valued property you desire, but it cannot be used to control a global variable. NOTE: after importing or inserting this *.ls file into Director you must manually change the script cast member's type to a behavior (use the Property Inspector) before it can be used. ColorPicker.ls (~3Kb) ColorDemo.zip (both the ColorPicker.ls and ColorMonitor.ls files as well as demo files, ~20Kb) Created by: Tom Higgins Last updated: Sept. 30, 2001 Color Monitor Behavior version 8.0 and up This behavior monitors any RGB valued property and then uses that value to set the color property of the sprite using this behavior. If you use particular member types, like Quick Draw shapes, this allows you to make "color chips" that serve as property value monitors. This behavior cannot be used to display the value of global variables. NOTE: after importing or inserting this *.ls file into Director you must manually change the script cast member's type to a behavior (use the Property Inspector) before it can be used. ColorMonitor.ls (~33Kb) ColorDemo.zip (both the ColorPicker.ls and ColorMonitor.ls files as well as demo files, ~20Kb) Created by: Tom Higgins Last updated: Sept. 30, 2001 Drag Model To Rotate With After-Spin version 8.0 and up This behavior is a modified version of the Drag Model To Rotate Behavior that ships in Director 8.5. The behavior is modified in that now the model that you last rotated will continue to rotate, the rotational velocity of the model will gradually be reduced. The rate of that reduction is dependant upon the value you provide for a new property in the behavior, pDragCoefficient. NOTE: after importing or inserting this *.ls file into Director you must manually change the script cast member's type to a behavior (use the Property Inspector) before it can be used. DragModelToRotate_WithAfterSpin.ls (~33Kb) Created by: Tom Higgins Last updated: Sept. 30, 2001 FPS Monitor version 7.0 and up This behavior can be attached to any sprite using a text or field cast member allowing that sprite will then be used as a frame rate display. Depending upon how you initialize the behavior upon attachment to the sprite the display will either show an instantaneous frame rate, a time averaged frame rate or both of those at the same time. NOTE: after importing or inserting this *.ls file into Director you must manually change the script cast member's type to a behavior (use the Property Inspector) before it can be used. FPS_Monitor.ls (~9Kb) Created by: Tom Higgins Last updated: Sept. 30, 2001 UI Utilities version 8.5 This behavior set consists of 9 behaviors that allow easy control over the values of arbitrary properties within Director movies. These were originally designed to assist in the creation of test movies and as such they may prove useful to others. This set includes: Boolean Control Button/Spinner Control Dropdown List (modified) RGB Chooser RGB Property Monitor Slider Control Tooltip (modified) Display Text (modified) Value Get/Set Monitor UI_Utilities.cst (~153Kb) Utilities_demo.dir (~236Kb) Utilities.zip (includes both the case library and demo movie, ~119Kb) Created by: Buzz Kettles and Tom Higgins NOTE: some behaviors are modified versions of shipping behaviors, in those cases Buzz and Tom are only responsible for needed modifications Last updated: Oct. 15, 2001 return to top Center Pivot Point version 8.5 This is a single movie script containing a small collection of handlers. Triggering the public 'centerPivotPoint' handler and passing the appropriate information will cause a given model's pivot point to be centered within the mesh geometry. There are two options for the centering type to be used, one moves the pivot to the center of the model's axis-aligned bounding box while the other moves the pivot point to the model's average vertex position, thus weighting the pivot position towards areas of higher vertex density. CenterPivotPoint.ls (~10Kb) CenterPivot_demo.zip (CenterPivotPoint.ls file and a demo movie, ~29Kb) Created by: Tom Higgins Last updated: Sept. 30, 2001 RealPlayer Detection version 8.5 This script file contains a single handler that can be used in order to detect whether or not the current machine meets the minimum RealPlayer version for using RealMedia in Director and Shockwave 8.5. More details, including instructions for using the script are found within the script's opening comments section. queryRealPlayerVersion.ls (~3Kb) Created by: Tom Higgins Last updated: Dec. 11, 2001 return to top ChromeLib Parent Scripts version 8.5 This file contains two parent scripts that can be used in conjunction with 3D scenes in Director and Shockwave. There is one script that allows you to control the fading in or out of a specified model while the other script provides overlay tweening functionality. For more information about the ChromeLib behaviors and parent scripts: http://karlsigiscar.multimania.com/shockwave3d/ ChromeLib_parentscripts.sit (~14Kb) ChromeLib_parentscripts.zip (~19Kb) ChromeLib.sit (contains the parent scripts as well as Karl's ChromeLib behaviors, ~130Kb) ChromeLib.zip (contains the parent scripts as well as Karl's ChromeLib behaviors, ~132Kb) Created by: Karl Sigiscar Last updated: March 4, 2002 View Frustum Detection version 8.5 The cast library contains three separate parent scripts, only one of which need be accessed publicly (the other two are used by this one script object), when called they return a linear list of models that appear within the referenced camera's view frustum. view_frustum.cst (~8Kb) view_frustum.zip (includes view_frustum.cst and a demo movie file, ~38Kb) Created by: Jerry Charumilind Last updated: Oct. 03, 2001 return to top
