Rock of Ages

What once took hundreds of thousands of years for mother nature to do, can now be done in the matter of moments on your PC... Turn your favorite shape or text into an aged rock formation! This should be run on a large font, (150-200 pixels) or on a pretty large shape.

SUPPORT INFORMATION
Instructions inside of Actions. If you were one of the first 25 downloaders, I inadvertently left in a couple of Set Gradient commands that are not needed. This MAY cause problems when running the action. Just redownload the action, or you can Delete the Set Gradient Commands from the actions. (Sorry, and thanks to Demerit Drakonian for pointing this oversight out to me)

Good effect. The structure, the broken dark outlines. Not as realistic as i thought before, but (because of the outlines) with a very useful cartoon like finish. And - the result looks better than in the preview, especially when it runs a second time over the first result!

I definately like the textures that are made, they're quite convincing. Since you didn't start the document, rather you gave instructions, a user is free to use whatever he/she likes. No constraints.

I liked the unique texture that is different than other "rock" type actions I've seen. Getting started on the action does take a minute or so as you make a new file, add shape or text, rasterize and then rename the layer. I understand the reason for this although I think the process might be made a bit easier by creating a default document (and text layer??) in the action. Also, on the gray rock, adjusting hue is ineffective to change the color like the instructions indicate. Nice altogether tho
