B&W to Color

Quite some time ago, a co-worker asked me to restore an old black and white picture that her brother had torn in half when they were both young. I thought it might be fun to add color to the image, so I decided to use this as an opportunity to demonstrate the techniques involved. The steps illustrated in this tutorial are applicable to any black and white (grayscale) image. So, if you have your own image, dig it out and follow along.

Very impressive Trevor. I was doing this work the other day and would have loved to have read your tutorial beforehand. Could've saved me some time and would have probably improved the end result. Very very cool! -Jonah
