This Photoshop Action creates faux tintype (ferrotype) effects. The action file has two different tintype effects. The first one creates a light tintype result, while the second creates a darker tintype result. Both effects were created using real tintype photos as examples, and sampling the actual colors from the tintypes.
SUPPORT INFORMATION
The effect works best on a fairly large image, from about 1000 pixels or more in height/width.

I prefer tintype 1, the results is impressive! Best for scenery photos. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

It took a while to run and I was expecting the worst, but I must say in the end I was quite impressed.
Definatly a keeper. It makes your photos look genuinly old.
