Merging pushed RAW files started to be very popular. Developing RAW multiple times, pushing it +-2 EV is just funny trick. However, sometimes when big contrast is recorded it can help making better pictures.

Now Photomatix is a fine program, but as I understand, it cost a bit more than Mr.Radek Przybył action.
