This little app has helped me out for years… until we got OSX Lion (no more support for Rosetta!). I haven't been able to contact this developer.
For those who still need a solution, there is a very nice javascript available. You can get it at indesignsecrets.com

It doesn't work with Lion OS 10.7 way to old I hope someone will write a new one soon for Macintosh users.
