Hi All, it's very easy to make it run but a little bit tricky to find out how to run it.

The folder named abow is correct:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\Scripts\Scripts Panel\Version 3.0 Scripts

What is important to know is that once you load InDesign Cs4 you need to go to the menu:
Window >> Automation >> Script - InDesign will make appear a panel where you have to choose under the SCRIPT label the Script 3 FOLDER and than ypu finaly find the PDF MULTIPAGE IMPORT

Have a nice day to all,
Martin

worked like a charm for me, very easy to install.

I use windows vista ultimate.

1 i unpacked the file

2 i made the version 3.0 folder in scripts, but this was in different location

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 6.0\en_US\Scripts\Scripts Panel\Version 3.0 Scripts

then i placed the unzipped file here, and then i started indesign and everything worked as i should. I importet 18 pages pdf to test and i am glad to report that this worked perfectly, thank you Jimmy Shen!!

Thanks, worked in CS4 after I created the "Version 3.0 Scripts" folder and inserted the script.

It has misspellings. "palced" instead of "placed?" Tsk, tsk...

Alright kids, I was in agreement at first. It didn't work initially but I tried several steps and figured it out (at least, this worked for me ...and I'm an artist. This kind of techie stuff is usually rough on me).

BELOW IS THE SOLUTION BUT A QUICK NOTE: After figuring this out, I honestly don't know if the hassle is worth it. If you only need a few pages of a PDF imported into an ID file, you're seriously better off just separating the pages in Acrobat and importing them individually. It doesn't even do what I was hoping it would. I would like it to ask me a Pg__ to Pg __ every time I import a multipage PDF but you have to open the scripts dialog and it's just kind of a pain. Then you have to go back and reset all the settings when you're done. It's perfect for people who need lots of pages imported.

----------------

First of all, going by the above filepath instructions (earlier post), there is no folder called Version 3.0 Scripts inside the Scripts Panel folder. There is only a folder called 'Samples'. On what would be my last try, I figured, since the 'Version 3.0' folder didn't exist in the Scripts Panel, I'd create my own. Sorry, I'll do this step by step to make it less confusing:

• Quit InDesign

• Inside the Scripts Panel folder, create a folder called Version 3.0
(full file path: Applications >> Adobe InDesign CS3 >> Scripts >> Scripts Panel >> Version 3.0 Scripts (create this last one)

• Launch InDesign and either create a new page or open an existing (now would probably be a good time to create however many pages you are importing).

• GoTo: Window >> Automation >> Scripts (⌘⌥ F11) - command-option-F11 (Mac)

• In the Scripts panel, find the PDF Multipage Import.js script (inside the Version 3.0 Scripts folder) and double-click it. (This takes place of the 'Place' command.)

• A dialogue will open that gives you the option From Page __ to Page__ Starting at Page__

• I only needed a single page, page 2 of a document imported so I entered From Pg 2 to Pg 2 and left 'Starting at page' field blank

• Lastly, there are 4 options in the left column and I couldn't make out what any of them said except something about a margin or a bleed. Anyway, I checked the TOP one and clicked 'Ok'.
(at first this gave me an error message but something happened and I guess it works now because I've tried it several times with no more error msgs)

NOTE: Until you change the settings back, doing a Place command the way you normally do it will start at the pages you specified every time, so to set it back to normal when you're done to From Page 1 to Page 1 > Starting at Page (I left this blank). ...and now it's back to normal. Kind of a crude script compared to how smooth the regular features in InDesign run ...but it works.

If the developer happens to read this, what would ideally be the coolest feature about this would be to have it ask you pg__ to pg__ every time you placed a multi pg PDF. Not complaining because it does what it says it does. Just some input in case you wanted to make it better and issue an update.
