Connects to a JSON data source (RFC 4627) Can load JSON objects from an external file or server or send JSON objects via HTTP POST. Useful for user friendly configuration files as well as data exchange.
SUPPORT INFORMATION
Unfortunately the support pages for this component have been lost due to a hosting problem, and so there are no longer any example usages.
There are help files included in the package itself though, which covers the basics.
UI Access:
Component is found in the Data Components library. <br>The mx.data.JSONConnector class can be used, or the component dragged onto the stage for use with schemas and bindings similar to the XMLConnector. <br>Please note the JSONConnector creates an ActionScript Object rather than an xml document. It only loads valid JSON objects (*not* XML). <br>When sending data, JSON objects are sent via POST but version 2.0 allows GET variables to be sent as well to avoid need for unnessecary parsing.<br><br>Help files have been included and will appear in the help index.

A tutorial on based on the examples would have been really helpful.

I found the examples in the help files a little confusing, but it's still a great component and does what it says it dose. Excellent.
