Form to Excel and Mail

Form to Excel and Mail allows to capture information sent by users from your website and save it into an Excel file and send and email with all the information sent to an email address. Simply a couple of clicks in your Dreamweaver and the form data will be formatted automatically and saved into a CSV file (you can open it with Excel). The attachments are saved in your web site and a reference is placed into the CSV (Excel) file. The email also formatted automatically and includes all the information posted by the user, even the uploaded files that are sent as attacments into the email. Optionally you can enable or disable the "Save to Excel" and the "Send copy by Email" feature. Additional info is detected automatically and saved into the CSV: user country (identified by IP), IP address, page referrer, server time, browser used and complete user agent string. This additional info helps to know more about the users in order to give a better support and a more customized answer.

UI Access:
Dreamweaver Form to Excel and Mail is distributed as an Adobe Dreamweaver MX (or later) extension, packed in a file named HDW_Form2Excel.mxp. To install it, you only need to double click the MXP file. when I get a commercial product I don't expect to find additional non-advertised features, I was really surprised to found many configuration parameters into the form2excel file and to find a tool that allows browsing the excel file without downloading it... a good product, a good support service... but where is your marketing manager? ...get one right now!

I downloaded the extension, paid $29 bucks and followed their instructions exactly. not working at all. i keep getting an error the page does not exist on my server, but i can see it on my server. Itride to file a technical support request. it has been over 8 hours since i filed the request and i have heard nothing. there is no way to call them. I'm not a very happy customer right now. I'll post if i get this think working but right now it looks like this is a dud product.

Excellent extension. The easy-to-use Wizard prompts you for a few key pieces of information (such as the email address to which you want your form sent - obviously - as well as a few other bits of info) and that's it. I have no knowledge of PHP, so this extension was exactly what i needed. I had it set-up in seconds. Thank you! Highly recommended.

The only strange thing that I have to learn to use this product was how to set write permissions to a folder…maybe is a basic procedure but I’ve to accept that I’m new to the web development. Fortunately seems that the FAQ and video tutorials were made thinking in all these details. I haven’t used many extensions, so I don’t know if this is the best one, but I really hope to find a lot of extensions as good as this For to Excel extension.
