Loading Spinner

A Flex component similar to the many "spinner.gif"s that are used on Web 2.0 pages. This is a sort of indeterminate progress indicator that can be used to demonstrate to the user that something is happening. Demo can be found at:

I've recently updated this component to reflect the proper way of doing things. It now uses "dirty flags" and updateDisplayList. I also added the null check that Sizam2.0 suggested. Note that ideally, if you're looking to minimize the impact of a spinner component, the best solution would probably be to create a basic SWF in flash that looks exactly like you want it to (as opposed to using a customizeable component like mine) and load that into your application.

Very nicely made, but takes up about 25% of the CPU in the fade() function.

Very heavy on cpu. Unusable in a production environment.

Very beautiful component

Awesome component!! Thanx a lot.

Great tool. Would like to change the color of the ticks without deleting the entire item and rebuilding. If the color changes the next tick gets the new color until the color changes again.
