Internet Explorer Conditional Comment Support Level

By default, Dreamweaver 8 and above recognizes Internet Explorer Conditional Comments (IECC) in "downlevel" mode. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537512.aspx for more information regarding IECCs. The IECC Support Level affects which markup that DW sees on the page, so it affects all features. A common use of IECCs is to hide/show CSS style sheets, so, the most notable features affected for this scenario would be Design View rendering, file path fixing, and dependent file determination. This setting persists until it is changed or the Preferences are manually cleared.

You just saved my computer from getting thrown out the window! This is great! FYI this will allow dreamweaver to sync file paths within ie conditional comments. Note that you have to install the extension, restart DW, go to Commands > IE support level and set it to show all, restart DW again, and then make your template changes. Took me a minute to figure this out.

This extension did not solve my problem.
My problem was that Dreamweaver cs3 did not update the file path to my ie css files that were linked from within an ie conditional comment when the page created from template was saved into a folder other than the site root, whereas it does update the file path to my main css files linked from outside the ie conditional comments.
No change has occurred to this behavior after installing this extension, no matter which settings I use within the extensions settings (then restart Dreamweaver).
It looks like a lifetime of manually changing the file paths of all pages saved anywhere other than the site root. What a drag.
The extension does what it says it does though alowing Dreamweaver to render the page optionally using ie conditional stylesheets and \"go to code" is available for these stylesheets. It just not what I was looking for.

Excellent extension! Allows the newest Dw to 'see' content inside IE conditional comments! A+! :)
