This custom tag tracks which pages have been visited, and generates a "crumb trail" of those pages with hyperlinks back to them. Unlike many "crumb trail" tags, this tag does not key off server directories, nor force you to set logical levels and/or names. All required information is obtained automatically so that the tag can be used without parameters if desired. As each page is visited, the tag stores the page title and invoking URL along with any parameters in a list. Then, the list is generated horizontally using the page title as a hyperlink, separated by a symbol (greater than by default). When a page in the "crumb trail" is clicked, the page is resent, using the original URL and any parameters, and the "crumb trail" is reset to that point. Note that the same page invoked using different URL parameters will generate unique entries in the "crumb trail". You can format the output of the tag using the optional parameters (see list at top). You can also enclose the tag in a <DIV> or <TABLE> tag to achieve the desired positioning of the "crumb trail".
