Really great however after I opened the pdf file to ai the background buildings are not highlighting and I don't know how to use these?

This is absolutely brilliant, but just opens as a flat image in CS2. (I know I have an older version and there are some limitations, but since it said 'Illustrator Any' I was hopeful.) Any suggestions on this? Thanks in advance.
