No. You can if you have any issues with it displaying properly or if you simply want to support the Author. The font is call “Lt Normal” and is available on FlashDen for only $6! It’s located here. Why don’t I need to purchase the Font? Because it’s embedded & you do not haeven have to open the FLash File to add your content to this site. How do I install the Font if I do purchase it? You copy it to your HardDrive [Typically the “C” drive . Add it to your “My Computer -> C -> Windows -> Fonts” folder. Then simply Reopen Flash & it will be in your list of accessible fonts. Font Notes. The Font “MUST” be at 8px to display properly. [Because it is a pixel font.] It must be rendered as “Bitmap No Anit-Alias”. How do I edit the foot text? Open the “xml” folder adn you will find the “footer.xm” file. Change the text out to whatever you want it to read and save the file. How do I add my Page Content? Open the “pageContent” folder and inside you will find a “pageCotent.xml” file with all the CDATA tags where you can add all your text & images. You will also find a folder called “images” with each of the four page banner images. How do I add my projects images, details & links ? The main Thumbnails are located in the “Thumbs” folder when you first open the download. The t humbnail images on the initial screen are 223×120. Each Project has it’s own self contanied folder called “Project 1, Project 2, etc.” Simply open a project folder & you will see the folders for each projects XML , Images, & a unique .fla & .swf. Change out your images with mine, & you can even load .SWF’s by changing the location in the XML from ”/1.jpg” to “1.swf” Large Project images are sized at 710×300. Yes, you can load .swf’s instead of .jpg’s. All project info is editable in the corresponding Project folder. You can even choose whether or not to include the “NEW” text for projects or change it entirely. How do I add my XML Logo ? Make your logo no more than 400px wide by 100px tall or so. You can load .jpg, .swf., .png’s, or transparent animated .gif files. I have included the LOGO .fla and LOGO .swf you see in the demo. Open the “logo” folder and replace the logo.swf with your own logo file. Open the “logo xml” folder and then the “logo.xml” file. Rename the location of your logo. e.g. ...”logo/LOGO.swf” to …”logo/mylogo.jpg” How do I change the background color? Simply open the “index.html” file & change out the two places where you see ”#FFFFFF” with your color. e.g. #FFCC00 How do I add my email to the Right Click Menu ? Open the main Flash File & select the Right Click Menu layer, then open the actions panel [F9] and read the comments I left you. How do I change the Settings on the Stage resize listener? If you want to do this, I have included full instructions inside the main FLASH FILE . On the first layer, you will find a “Guide Layer” that you can read the info in by pressing [F9] once you have selected the layer. Also, I have commented quite a bit of the action script too in case you are interested in learning how certain things work.
