Still getting error about the file being saved with a newer version of Illustrator

Mea culpa. I didn't know how to add the gradients. Follow these instructions from TrabzonSport, who also has contributed metallic gradients at:

"Important: I am using the CS4 version of Adobe Illustrator, I don't know if this works for previous versions.
How to use:
Put the .ai file in your Adobe Illustrator swatches (/gradients) folder.
Usually: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS*\Presets\en_US\Swatches\Gradients
You can then access the gradients in Illustrator under the menu 'Window/Swatch Libraries/Gradients'
or in the 'swatches' palette by clicking the bottom left folders icon.
Restart Illustrator if necessary."

Opens in Illustrator CS4, but nothing is visible. Saved as .SVG, same thing.

Still the same problem, "can't convert to PDF". I'm running CS3. :^(

I get a message that it is made with a newer version of Ilustrator. And, it doesn't work.
