NPG Photo Manager Plugin

The NPG Photo Manager Plugin adds QR Code features to Lightroom. This plugin does the following: - Retrieves QRCodes embedded with the master image's UUID from our servers and, using the open-source Imagemagick program, creates a proof image and merges the QRCode onto the proof. The image is then either stacked with the master image, or it is put into a Collection--this is user-configurable. - You can merge the QRCode onto the original image if you want--excluding RAW images. This is useful if you display the image in a public space where you want people to be able to contact you about the image, or if you wanted to track the number of people who scan your photo. These features are currently being expanded server-side. - It can create contact sheets from selected images. Each image has a QRCode on it that contains the UUID of the master image. The contact sheets are also user-configurable. Give these contact sheets to your client, have them select their favorites, and you can quickly locate the selected images quickly using the NPG QR Scan function, explained below - If you wish to create labels that have QRcodes and Meta information for the master images selected then the NPG Label Maker can do this. Choose from four popular-sized sheet labels, select the meta data of the images that you wish to appear adjacent to the QRCode, and click OK to generate a PDF that you can print. Labels not included. :) - Quickly locate the images from the active catalog with the NPG QR Scan feature. Using a cheap USB webcam, you can scan all of the previously-created QRCodes that you wish to locate from your active catalog. Close the scanner window, and the plugin goes to work to locate your scanned master images. This happens in seconds. - If you allow a URL to be added to the QRCode, if your client happens to scan that URL with their mobile device then they can navigate to a mobile-specific website that tells more information about the image. As mentioned above, this feature is currently being expanded to include scan-tracking, the ability to contact the photographer, and even the option to purchase the image with just a few clicks. - Many features of this plugin are configurable via the NPG Configurator window. You can select the QRCode size and redundancy, thumbnail/proof size and quality as well as the ability to alter the characteristics of the contact sheet creator. The plugin is free to download, and the NPG Scan function is free to use. The other features use server resources so we ask for a fee of $4.99 for 30-days of access. If you would like to try before you buy, please contact us at the email address listed and we will gladly enable a trial 30-days for you. This is very cool. I tried it out today during a portrait shoot and it worked well. It looks very professional and I was proud to hand the contact sheets to the clients.

The only thing I saw that caught me off guard was that the camera takes a few seconds to start up during the scanning function. The light on the camera blinks a few times and then the scanner screen comes up. Just be patient.

This is definitely going to be something I will use often. Thank you!
