Golden Crop

0.93: Italian translation and CS5 compatibility added! __________________________________________________________________________________________ Golden Crop script is an extension of the standard Crop Tool. It display fully resizable composition grid which you can rotate any degree you want. Golden Crop works in Photoshop CS2, CS3, CS4 and CS5 and is available in several language versions (more to come!). ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ *Features*: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Displays composition lines for the following methods: Rule of Thirds, Golden Rule, Golden Triangle, Golden Spiral, Diagonal Method. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Uses non-destructive methods (not counting rotation of a non right angle) and Adjustments Layers with Vector Masks and layer FX – no actual pixel is added to the file at all! ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Custom line thickness. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- The image could be in any proportion – 3:4, 2:4, 16:9, 314:271, ... it doesn’t matter! Composition lines are always drawn correctly! ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- You can keep the aspect ratio of the frame by holding [Shift], or [Alt]+[Shift] keys. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Displays semi-transparent crop shield, just as regular Crop Tool does. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- You are able to fully rotate and resize cropping frame. Composition lines updates in real time. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Fully customizable – You can choose which composition lines the script should display. You can also choose reveal and crop method. The composition lines choice is remembered. You can even record it in an action! ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Two crop modes: ‘crop mask’ and ‘simple crop’. The latter just crops the image in a similar way to the Image>Crop command. The ‘crop mask’ mode creates non-transparent mask (Solid Color layer with vector mask) that hides pixels outside crop frame. Using this mode You can continue cropping even after the script finishes – just run it again! Hint: if you do not like to continue cropping, but add another frame, select bottom-most layer (probably Background) and run the script. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Reveal background with confirmation helps to avoid frustrating 1px borders mistakenly added during crop process. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- When it comes to rotation or canvas extension, the background layer is always converted to normal layer and Solid Color layer with Foreground Color fill is added below it. Original pixel would not merge with new canvas anymore! ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- This is also one of the possible ways to create simple frames with customizable color (Solid Color layer, remember?) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ____- Line thickness and preferred composition method could be recorded as an action step.
