twhirl is the best desktop application for Twitter that I've seen so far. I like the variety of different color schemes and the fact that it stays out of your way and you can easily pause the notifications at any time. I give twhirl a 5 out of 5 rating.

Twhirl is alright. I like that it does FriendFeed & Twitter, but TweetDeck is much better for Twitter, and the browser is much better for FriendFeed.

I've been using Twhirl for several months, to manage a single Twitter account. It does pretty much everything I want a Twitter client to do, looks decent, and stays out of my way. It has been stable and reliable.

So amazing I gave it a 5 even though it won't clear out old replies. (I hear they are working on it). I use it to manage multiple twitter accounts (mine and my wife's) and it is very clean and easy to use. Even has member searching and following!

Lovely. I tweeted 3 or 4 #twirl items as I started with it.
Nice that you've used XML for colorschemes! I've got my own favorite nearly tweaked already.
