Power Matte extracts and composites objects not meant to be extracted even if you are dealing with fine hair detail, smoke, or reflections. The process involves iteratively estimating the transparency value for every pixel in the image, based on a small sample of foreground and background pixels marked by defining simple masks on the image. Foreground edge colors can then be estimated in the semitransparent areas to create a seamless composite.
