Description:
GeeMail has everything in place which is required to access your gmail. You don’t need to configure POP and IMAP settings like traditional email clients.
Even if you are offline, compose your email, click “Send” and forget about it. GeeMail is network aware; the next time it detects Internet connection, your email is sent right away!
You don’t have to get used to a new user interface for GeeMail, because GeeMail supports the good old UI of gmail itself.

For me, this app is full of bugs that are so obvious that I can't consider it even a beta level; I would reclassify it alpha. (I tried it on my Vista Utlimate system, if that matters.) When I viewed a HTML formatted email message, the message jiggled rapidly left and right, probably as it was doing some loading in the background. Trying to go back to Inbox, the GeeMail window went into blur and stopped responding. When I re-launched, I tried some other functionality, but either it was extremely slow to load messages (such as my sent mail box contents) or just plain froze. I can't even recommend that you give it a try. Perhaps on another platform it works better, but it's useless to me.

GeeMail does not appear to work if you're behind a firewall/proxy server. I got two errors trying to log in to Gmail:
1. "error 1001-EP: Gmail Server not accessible because of some security reasons"
2. "Error 1000-UD: Socket Closed. Unable to reach GMail Server".
Too bad you can't configure anything.

It appears you cannot install these applications in Linux. Clicking on Download From Publisher does nothing. And the one application that did install TweetDeck, doesn't function. So much for cross platform functionality.

This is a fantastic application! It is simple to use, requires no programming, can be used offline, and requires no extra learning if you already know Gmail. The Offline that comes with Gmail Labs does not load when internet is off. This will open online or off! Many thanks Sourcebits!!! (7/16/09)For people new to computers, and only want it for email, this can be at startup so they can turn on, use it and turn off. I'd even put a "shutdown -s" shortcut on the Quick Launch toolbar. (Edit again:) Or, i would put a shutdown for only thing for Ubuntu/Debian.

Nice work? Who'd you get to make these posts? I could probably teach an 8 year old to put an htlmloader on the stage and open gmail.com. I honestly can't believe this thing was approved and in the marketplace, total waste of time.

Probably because no one else did at the marketplace, and it is very useful to those who have no programming experience. They need no more experience than to be able to open, read, type, and close.

nice work ... I hope you guys will be introducing such cool and useful AIR Apps in the future also .. Some functionality is missing but its alright as its Beta version ... great effort guys ...
