Real Art Design Group wanted to come up with a new eco-friendly idea that would make a difference, so it did what any creative agency would do. The team got out some power tools, collected 1,200 pounds of junk, and created handcrafted Grobots. Each unique Grobot contains its own living plant and is sold in an online auction to raise money for charity, which you can learn all about by clicking the Our Charities link. The Adopt a Bot eco-friendly plant pots are a testament to the old adage, "One man’s junk is another man’s treasure." Built with Flash, After Effects, and Photoshop, the Grobots site is the ideal complement to the auction items, and it truly projects innovation and creativity.
Why it was selected: Tough problems call for creative solutions, and this site illustrates how one innovative idea can go a long way toward ending hunger and poverty. (Jan. 22, 2009)
