Biography

Paul Dewhurst has been involved in the production of multi-media rich packages for over ten years now. Much of this work, undertaken on a freelance basis, was the creation of bespoke tutorial and demonstration materials.

For the past five years Paul has turned his attention to the development of eLearning materials, with a specific focus on production for ‘special needs’ education. This focus is one driven by an initial desire to create both educational and entertainment multimedia material for his daughter Aimee, who is autistic and has no speech or communication skills.

Keen to share experiences with others, Paul was instrumental in the implementation of electronic forums for the support of those living with autism and in particular the design, development and delivery of e-Materials to that end.

Paul’s knowledge of Macromedia Flash has allowed him to quickly integrate RoboDemo within his portfolio of skills. RoboDemo, is a key tool for the development of his tutorials and demonstrations. Having been a long-standing and valuable member of numerous RoboDemo beta-test and focus groups, he has assisted Development staff to identify design considerations and integrate valuable feature enhancements.
