Often we take digital pictures and scan images at a 90° angle. A lot of newer digital cameras have settings to automatically import photos into the computer they are the right orientation. However, many digital cameras don't offer this feature. You can correct the orientation in Adobe® Creative Suite 2 using Adobe Bridge with a single click. Select the image or images that need to be rotated and click the Rotate 90° Counterclockwise button or the Rotate 90° Clockwise button at the top of the Bridge window. You can also quickly rotate an image 180° by selecting the image, bringing up the contextual menu, and choosing Rotate 180°.

Although Bridge allows you to quickly and easily rotate images, the rotation doesn't really happen until you open the file up in a graphics application such as
Adobe Photoshop® or Adobe Illustrator® and save it in it's rotated state. So if you rotated an image in Bridge and then dragged it into Adobe InDesign®, it would appear with its original orientation.
