To copy pixels to new locations in an image. To paint with the Clone Stamp tool (Photoshop) or Spot Removal tool (Lightroom).
Using the Clone Stamp tool, the tomato in the upper-left corner of of the original image (top) was duplicated, or cloned, in the lower-right corner (bottom).
