Creating Page Mock-ups in Fireworks

Note: This tutorial is part of Fireworks Help and is also published in the Fireworks 8 LiveDocs. The product documentation is the central resource for learning to use Fireworks. To use Fireworks Help, just open Fireworks, select the Help menu, and navigate to the topic of your choice.

This tutorial will guide you through the basic tasks of creating a mock-up of a web page with Macromedia Fireworks 8. Page mock-ups are typically used to show proposed page designs to colleagues and clients. Once a design is approved, the mock-up is used by web designers as a blueprint to create the page.

In this tutorial, you'll create and save a new document, import and place images, create a composite of the content area, place text and images, and export the image for the web.
