Dynamic content

How can I play my Facebook or other games?

Flash-based content cannot be viewed in Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader only supports viewing PDF documents.

How can I rotate a PDF image?

Rotating pages or images in PDF pages is currently not supported.

Note that the viewing experience for some documents may be better if you lock the screen orientation.

Miscellaneous settings

How can I enroll/unenroll from the Product Improvement Program?

Adobe periodically collects anonymous, non-personal usage data in order to improve Reader. If you would like to disable this feature:

  1. From any file or folder view (with no PDF open), tap your device's Menu icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Check or uncheck Provide Usage Data.

How can I change where Reader data is stored?

Reader stores files downloaded from in a private storage area accessible only by Reader. You can control whether files are stored in a public or private area by doing the following:

  1. From any file or folder view (with no PDF open), tap your device's Menu icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Cache Location.
  4. Check Internal storage or SD card. (See the image above.)

How should I deal with fonts?

Fonts should be embedded. This is particularly true for esoteric fonts such as Arabic.

Can I disable field and link highlighting?

No. Disabling or changing the color is currently not supported.


How do I determine my Android version?

Note: The method for finding the Android version may vary across devices.

  1. Tap the device's Settings icon.
  2. Tap About phone.

How do I determine my Reader version?

Tap Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Adobe Reader.

How do I enable automatic updates?

  1. Open Google Play.
  2. Tap your device's Menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings > Auto-update apps.
  4. Select an auto-update setting.
