This first release of the Adobe® After Effects® CS3 SDK contains updated Universal Binary sample projects, required for native operation on Intel-based Macs.
All samples and documentation have been updated. Several more effects have been updated to use SmartFX messaging, which is required for 32 bit-per-channel pixel processing. Numerous AEGP API enhancements improve After Effects' inter-application responsiveness. Please see the Readme file for more information.
Microsoft® Windows® XP and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005.
Macintosh OS X 10.4 or later (10.4 Universal SDK), and XCode 2.4.1 or later. Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 9.3 sample projects are no longer provided.
You will also need Adobe Reader® software to view the PDF documentation.
Support for development specific to version 7.0 will end January 30, 2008. The CS3 SDK can be used to develop 7.0 compatible plug-ins.
