Quicklook

The Quicklook sample application demonstrates how to build a calendar application in Flex using the new iLog component. Quicklook leverages the relational database system (SQLite) embedded in the AIR runtime to store the calendar data locally. Quicklook also demonstrates how to use the Data Access Object (DAO) pattern in ActionScript to separate the data access logic from the other components of your application. The application could easily be extended to synchronize the data with a central database to provide a traditional multiuser calendar application with online and offline access. Note: You'll have to add the iLog SWC to your build path, so be sure to download iLog Elixir Beta 2.

This sample application provides search capability for the Flickr website combined with a 3D layout to provide a more interesting way to browse the images. It also has a tag cloud that allows you to find related images. This application uses the new AIR 1.5 3D transformations on a transparent background.
